Growing the Roots of SAC-SEED
SAC-SEED is a community-driven project in the early stages of becoming a nonprofit organization focused on strengthening connections between healthy food, environmental stewardship, and community learning opportunities.
Over the next several years, we will be building partnerships, conducting community outreach, developing programs, and establishing the organizational foundation needed to launch long-term operations.
Food Production
Want to volunteer to help provide nutritious food to those in need? We plan to grow fresh, nutritious produce to be donated to food banks, aid groups, and individuals and families experiencing food insecurity.
Community Gardens
Want to grow your own food? Our sliding-scale urban garden plots will provide access to land for growing food and building community.
Education
Want to learn more about how to grow food? Which bugs are pests and which are good pollinators? When to prune that tree? Come out to our future workshops!
